How to batch transfer data with Zapier Transfers | NEW FEATURE!

How do you bulk transfer large data sets from one platform to the other without developers? Zapier just launched a brand new feature called Zapier Transfers that will allow you to do exactly that. Whether you are in the process of changing what CRM you use or are importing data into Webflow, Zapier Transfers will make this process a lot easier.

How Zapier Transfers works

There are a few simple steps that you need to take in order to set up the workflow that sends information from one database to the other. In this example, I am going to migrate my Airtable base to Google Sheets.

Step 1: Connect my Airtable Database

The first step is to connect my Airtable base as the source data in Zapier. Anyone familiar with Zapier will find this part of the process intuitive. Anyone new to Zapier, basically what you are doing here is asking Zapier to get your Airtable database that you can reuse in future steps.

Step 2: Setup your destination - Google Sheets

The next step is to define where we want our data to send and in what format. In order to do what you need to set up the destination of your data. In my case I am using Google sheets: I simply set up a column for each field I want to migrate over to Google Sheets.
Once this step is completed, I am ready to ask Zapier to transfer over everything from Airtable to Google sheets.

Step 3: Mapping Airtable to Google Sheets

Once you have defined your data source and data destination, it is time to map the fields up so that the right Airtable information gets sent to the correct field in Google sheets.

This process is once again very intuitive and one of the big reasons why Zapier is the most used automation tool in the world. Once the mapping is complete you are ready to review your data.

Step 4: Review and select records

Now, you are pretty much good to go. One thing that Zapier does really well here is it allows you to select certain records (in case you don't want to migrate your entire database)
